Funeral services were held Thursday in the United Methodist Church, Coteau, for Victor E. Bodeen, 81, who-died Sunday at Noonan where had had been residing.  Rev. Kenneth Farr officiated.  Mrs. Barton Melby was organish and Mrs. Dwaine Melby and Mrs. Robert Sundin sang.

Pallbearers were Earl Chrest Sr., Edwin Peterson, Maynard Olson, Vernon Olson, Dwaine Melby and Bert Wahlund.  Interment was in the Little Butte Cemetery with Sorensen Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bodeen was born Feb 8, 1894 at Renville, Minn. and came to the Bowbells area with his parents as a child.  He farmed in Ward township.  Burke County and had lived at the Nonaan Good Samaritan Home for the past several years.

Survivors include a son, Wayne of Seattle, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Forrest (Phillis) Hoenhous of Washington, two grandchildren and four sisters, Ms. Anna McLaughlin of Willmar, Minn., Mrs Albin Peterson of Bowbells, Mrs. Cora Fender of Hyattville, Wyo., and Mrs. Myrtle Turek of Montgomery, Minn.
